Alicante Port on the Mediterranean coast. This particular chart was presented to the Mayor of Alicante by the Volvo Ocean Race team. The Bay of Alicante is unusual, it is relatively shallow compared with the rest of the Mediterranean which is typically very deep and does so very rapidly. The is particular piece was made using the Admiralty chart 473 “Approaches to Alicante”
