The Isle Of Wight is probably the most recognisable island shape in the world , probably because of its popularity as a recreational area being so close to London , the numerous ports such as Lymington, the Hamble , Cowes, Southampton, Chichester, Portsmouth and many more. All are connected by the Solent, with some treacherous areas like the Needles channel and the various banks that are the subject of many tales and adventures.
