The Caribbean Islands of Anguilla, St. Martin and St. Barthélemy are grouped together in this lovely work. The aqua blue mount and white frame work perfectly with the chart’s colouring to make this a stand-out piece.
The two larger islands featured are Anguilla and St. Martin. Anguilla is a British overseas territory and boasts everything one would expect from a Caribbean island, beautiful white beaches and turquoise seas. The smaller Dog Island and Prickley Pear Cays can be seen edging off-chart. On the north-west of Anguilla is Scrub Island.
St. Martin occupies a similar land area to Anguilla, approx 34 sq. miles. Despite its small size, it manages a blend of African, French, British and Dutch heritage and culture. Although it is a single island, it contains two separate nations: French and Dutch.
St. Barthélemy or St. Barts as it is commonly known, is a volcanic island fully encircled by shallow reefs. It is separated from St. Martin by the St. Barthélemy Channel.
