The Islands of Bermuda, also referred to as the Bermudas or the Somers Isles, is a British overseas territory in the North Atlantic Ocean, located off the east coast of the United States. It is a complex group of islands, 181 in total. There are reefs that surround the island thus creating a central lagoon. Another way of describing Bermuda – it is a mountain that stands 5000 meters from the sea bed.

Key features are Hamilton Island, St Davids Island, St Georges, Somerset and Ireland island. The channel that enters the sound is called “The Narrows” – no room for error! The surrounding reefs are impressive in 3D. You can see how they protect the main islands from the ravages of the North Atlantic.

The 3D chart was a rewarding challenge, creating each and every piece that makes up the numerous islands that surround the lagoon.
