Central to this chart are Brandon Bay and Tralee Bay. The two bays are separated by Lough Gill and the Magharees Peninsula. Lough Gill is a natural lagoon draining into Tralee Bay. It is a shallow lake about 2km long. Brandon Bay is one of the top windsurfing locations in Ireland. Most of the activity is based at The Magherees where there are excellent wave conditions. From here, Tralee Bay extends eastwards as far as Blennerville. Villages around the bay include Ballyheigue, Fenit, Kilfinora, Blennerville, Camp and Castlegregory.

The detail of this lovely chart gives a good visual representation of the mountainous terrain of the hinterland. At the bottom is a land elevation with Mount Brandon on the left hand side. At nearly 1000m it is one of the highest peaks in Ireland. This chart is set on a black background and has a charcoal mount and black frame combination.
