Both charts belong to our Origins range.

Kinsale has two star-shaped forts; Charles Fort and James’s Fort, they can be seen on the centre of the chart.  Charles Fort is located in Summercove and is a bastion-fort that guards the entrance to Kinsale harbour. It was built to protect the area and specifically the harbour from use by the French and Spanish in the event of a landing in Ireland. James’s Fort is located on the other side of the harbour, on the Castlepark peninsula.

Mull of Kintyre is at the extreme south western tip of the Kintyre peninsula, approximately 16 km from Campbeltown in Argyll and Bute, Western Scotland. It is about 13 km beyond the southernmost village of the peninsula, Southend with its tea room and beaches, and reached via a single-track road.
