The main focus for this piece is Hinchinbrook Island which is the largest island on the Great Barrier Reef. It is also the largest island national park in Australia and is separated from the northern coast of Queensland by the narrow Hinchinbrook Channel. Across the other side of the channel can be seen the mainland coast from Lucinda in the south, as far north as Mission Beach. Due east is Dunk Island. The island’s reefs and surrounding waters are home to an array of marine life. The smaller Goold Island is also included.

The finished piece, complete with 7 layers of relief work, surround lighting and complementary framing, would look marvellous in any setting.
