The focus of this work is Baie de Quiberon and the Golfe de Morbihan, also the islands of Ile de Groix and Belle-Ile-en-Mer, all located in Brittany, Western France.
Belle-Île-en-Mer, as the name suggests is a beautiful island for visitors. The coasts are a mixture between dangerously sharp cliff edges on the southwest side, the Côte Sauvage (Wild coast), and placid beaches and navigable harbours on the northeast side.
Groix lies a few kilometres off the coast of Lorient. There are a few small towns on the island. High cliffs are on its north coast and sandy beaches in secluded coves on the south coast. Groix is also famous for hosting the only convex beach in Europe.
