This chart sweeps around the coastline of Massachusetts Bay as far as Gloucester in the north and Plymouth in the south, with Boston as its central focus. Along the shores there are a number of capes and headlands. At the entrance to Boston Harbor can be seen a group of small islands, namely: Thompson Island, Spectacle Island, Long Island and Paddocks Island.

The 3D relief gives dramatic detail to the rocky irregular shoreline and the harbour islands. The client’s requirements were given careful consideration and accordingly the chart chosen was an old classic from NOAA. The sepia tone of the land area is enhanced by the subtle choice of charcoal mount and black frame. The finished work is classic and elegant.
