The 3D chart shows Miami Port and the northern section of Biscayne Bay. This was a commission by the Volvo Ocean Race which was used as a gift to the Port of Miami which hosted the 2012 stopover.

I am intrigued by the Florida coastline, it is so shallow. The numerous islands that make up the Florida Keys are fascinating. I can imagine that sailing with a deep keel is tricky to say the least. On the upper section you will also see the start of the intracoastal which is a unique channel, 3,000 miles of waterway along the Atlantic and Gulfcoasts of the United States.

The 3D chart was made using admiralty chart 3699. The frame size for this piece was 600*500mm. It was framed in a white frame which is very fresh, bright and nautical.

Key Features include Miami Port, Fisher island, Miami Beach, Biscayne Bay, Virginia Key, Key Biscayne and the Intracoastal.
