The islands of Paxos and Antipaxos form the Greek Paxi island group which is situated in the Ionian Sea. The largest and northernmost of the two islands is Paxos. Both islands are beautiful with stunning beaches and small harbour villages backed with olive groves. Paxos measures approx. 14km by 4km. There is an insert feature of the port town of Gaios included on the chart. The tiny island of St. Nicholas can be seen in the harbour with the even smaller island of Panagia close by. At the bottom of the chart there is a land elevation of the islands which gives a visual perspective of the approach from the sea. The southern tip of Corfu is shown as is a small portion of the mainland which gives a sense of the islands’ location relative to the mainland and larger island.
