Promontorio dell’Argentario is the central focal point for this 3D chart. It is located along the Tuscan coast between the Island of Giglio and the Island of Giannutri and is part of the Cetacean Sanctuary classified as a Specially Protected Area of Mediterranean Interest . The highest point reaches 635 meters above sea level on the summit of Mount Telegrafo.
Giglio island is separated by a 16 km stretch of sea from the nearest point of the mainland. To the east, the small island is Cala Spalmatoio.
It also includes Civitavecchia, a coastal town northwest of Rome. It is built in the 2nd century, the Port of Civitavecchia still retains some of its original features, like the Roman Dock.
