This is one of the commissions that Latitude Kinsale has completed of the Spanish Cabrera Islands. It is a small archipelago that form part of the Balearic group. They are located south of Majorca and can be accessed by excursion from Colonia de Sant Jordi. In this case, it was decided to also feature a section of the south coast of Majorca to show its position, relative to Cabrera. The islands are an uninhabited group and were used by the Spanish Military in the past. Cabrera was declared a national park in 1991. Cabrera itself is the largest island of the archipelago that includes Estells de Fora, Na Rodonda and L’Esplonja.
The compass rose is shown floating over the left edge of the chart. A colour scheme of cool contemporary whites was chosen for the framing combination as well as surround lighting. The finished piece looks wonderful.
