The Lofoten Island archipelago is situated off the north west coast of Norway. They are located within the arctic circle and are well-known for their scenic beauty. The main islands in the group are as follows: Gimsoy, Vestvagoy, Flakstadoya, Moskenesoya, Vaeroy and Rost. The chart used in this case is a classic black and white archive chart. It is rich in detail and surveying. This, combined with the complex geographic area invites the viewer for closer inspection of this quality piece. This chart was commissioned by a client who wanted to hang it in the cabin of his boat.

On consultation with the client, a charcoal background and a brushed silver frame was decided to complement the finished piece perfectly.
