Oresund is the strait that separates the Danish island of Zealand from Sweden. Its narrowest point is 4km in width and is at the northern end between Helsingor and Helsingborg. The strait links the Baltic Sea and the North Sea and is a very busy ferry route. There are two islands in the strait, the northern being Ven and the southern island of Saltholm. Saltholm island lies in a direct line between Copenhagen and Malmo. It is just south of this point that Denmark and Sweden are connected by the Oresund Bridge which continues into the Drogden Tunnel.

This commission was created for an installation on-board the luxury cruise ship The World which is the biggest privately owned luxury yacht. See the attached photos to see the installation in-situ.
