Curacao is a coral‑limestone island with arid hills, rugged cliffs, and sheltered southern inlets. Its coast features deep bays such as Spaanse Bay, Piscadera Bay, and Sint Anna Bay. Offshore, flat, sandy Klein Curacao sits amid turquoise water and surrounding reefs. Klein Curacao is shown in the bottom right corner.
Spaanse Bay is a sheltered inlet on Curacao’s southern coast, bordered by limestone hills, mangroves, and calm turquoise water. Its narrow entrance opens into a quiet, scenic basin shaped by coral terraces and coastal cliffs. The bottom left corner shows the satellite insert of Spaanse Bay (Spanish Water). The insert is a nice feature and gives prominence to a chosen location while maintaining the perspective of the ‘bigger picture’.
