This is an outstanding piece. On this chart we feature the Balearic Islands of Majorca and Menorca. To accentuate the islands’ privileged position in the Mediterranean we decided to set the chart on a marine blue background, which gives the visual impression of the islands floating on clear waters. It is a technique that works to great effect and is particularly eye-catching.
Majorca’s capital city of Palma can be seen on the south west coast of the island. The capital of Menorca is Mahon and lies on its east coast. The islands are a thriving tourist destination. This is one of many commissions we have completed for this location.
The chart is completed with a white mount and a beautiful walnut frame. It is a substantial work, measuring 1000mm x 700mm. The effect of in-built surround lighting makes this an exemplary piece.
